Randy L. Perry, MBA, MS | Logistics Management Specialist | Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration

A distinguished military and security professional, Randy L. Perry, MBA, MS draws inspiration from the examples of his grandfather and father, both of whom served in the military. Having dedicated one decade of service to the United States Army until 2007, he advanced to the rank of an Army Captain and graduated from the Officer Candidate School. Subsequently, Mr. Perry continued his professional endeavors upon joining Raytheon International as a senior logistics management specialist in 2007. From there, he served the Pentagon as a principal logistics manager from 2008 to 2009 and as a program manager from 2009 to 2013. He also excelled as a deputy director for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2013 to 2018.

Today, Mr. Perry finds success as a logistics management specialist for the Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration. In his role since 2018, he has translated logistical goals into operational concepts for annual funding procurement, performed property accountability assessments and provided life-cycle logistics oversight to ensure operational system support. Looking ahead, Mr. Perry intends to retire and give back to his community by teaching, coaching and mentoring others as a 32nd Degree Mason (Scottish Rite). He is also a donor to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for Veterans.

In recognition of his outstanding career trajectory, Mr. Perry received the Bronze Star Medal as a Soldier in 2006 a Gold Medal as an All-Army Athlete in 2003. Collegiately, as a student-athlete, he played varsity baseball, earning MVP honors to include playing professionally in Minnesota and Europe. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Perry is particularly proud to have been selected to attend the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, which placed him in the top five percent of government personnel and included people from a variety of alphabet letter agencies, including the FBI, CIA, DIA, LIA and all branches of the military.

Abundantly educated, Mr. Perry earned a Bachelor of Arts in social science, with a concentration in history, from Mount Marty College in 1996. In 2016, he achieved a Master of Science in national resource strategy from The Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy and a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University. Later in 2020, he also attained a Master of Science in management, with a concentration in leadership, also from Strayer University. Outside of his work, Mr. Perry aligns himself with the Alpha Chi National Honor Society, the Golden Key International Honour Society, and Phi Alpha Theta.
